JOB DESCRIPTION

Our clients, a leading Technology company in the UAE, currently hiring UAV professionals are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly line manager responsible for overall flow of the manufacturing process from component to complete chain level for product lines to support the assembly, maintenance, and field test activities of our UAVs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with UAVs or similar aerospace systems and possess strong technical skills.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the development, planning and execution against KPIs, as well as production plan, and annual cost budget.
2. Manage use of SAP tools for productivity results and analysis.
3. Manage schedule execution for daily and weekly production schedules.
4. Develop team and execute daily management and problem-solving activities.
5. Drive safety initiatives and strategy for area of responsibility and implement improvement plans. Ensure ongoing operator safety and a safe work environment by promptly addressing safety hazards, minimizing workplace accidents, and proactively involving associates in the continuous improvement of safety.
6. Communicate regularly with direct and indirect reports across regarding production requirements and key issues effecting delivery including internal/external quality, equipment status/availability, resource availability.
7. Identify opportunities for cost savings through lean practices such as inventory reduction, flow day reduction, cost of manufacturing. Demonstrate the responsibilities of a lean leader and drive a lean culture in the facility. Ensure associates are engaged and are participating in continuous improvement efforts.
8. Facilitate the Talent Management Process to create high-performing teams and a pipeline of ready leadership. Lead goal setting, coaching, counselling, mentoring, and career development processes with associates. Identify training and needs and create a training strategy to meet customer expectations.
9. Planning function to meet production and demand plans.
10. Assist in the development of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for UAV operations and maintenance.
11. Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, pilots, and operations personnel, to support UAV missions and ensure operational success.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in assembly management is necessary, working with UAVs, drones, or aerospace systems is preferable.
3. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations.
4. Proficient in using assembly line machinery.
5. Knowledge of quality assurance procedures.
6. Flexibility to work in varied environments, including indoor workshops, outdoor flight test sites, and potentially remote field locations.
